Maruti exports first consignment of A-Star

Mumbai, Dec 26: The first consignment of Maruti Suzuki's A-star has been exported to Europe. The consignment left for export in a specially designed Auto Wagon Railway Rake from Gurgaon railway station.

Earlier Maruti had announced the despatch of first consignment of A-Star. "The dispatch of first consignment of A-star from Gurgaon railway station is a quantum leap for Maruti Suzuki towards the company's future as a small car manufacturing hub for Suzuki, Japan," the company's managing executive officer (production), M M Singh said in a statement.
