Brits will be spending over an hour surfing the net on Christmas Day
London, December 25 (ANI): Brits would be spending an average of 84 minutes online browsing the Internet on Christmas Day.
According to a new survey by the Post Office, two thirds of the 1,700 adults questioned were expected to be surfing online, emailing friends and browsing auction sites - a 25 per cent increase since last year.
One in 20 web-users revealed that they be sitting in front of their screens to check how long to cook the Christmas turkey, reports the Sun.
Some others added they would be hunting for January sales or might even do some online shopping.
Post Office spokesman Stewart Fox-Mills said: "We have seen a real explosion in the adoption of broadband in recent years, with close on two thirds of households now having access." (ANI)
