'No mood to compromise with al Qaeda, Taliban'

Lahore, Dec 24: Pakistan is in no mood to compromise with al Qaeda and Taliban, said Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Kayani. Kayani also stated that Pakistan realises the threat posed by such militant groups.

Kayani had a discussion with the US Marine Commander, James Conway, over the current security conditions, a private TV channel reported.

The two military officials are believed to have discussed 'overall regional security', US drone attacks in Pakistan and US-Pakistan military co-operation on the Pak-Afghan border. Security along with the Pakistan-Afghanistan border was the responsibility of all stakeholders, and not just Pakistan, General Kayani told the American commander.
