Flying Pak jets witnessed in major cities on Dec 22

Islamabad: In view of the current environment, the Pakistan Air Force has enhanced its vigilance. On Monday, Dec 22 Pakistani fighter jets flew near major cities, amid tensions with India triggered by Nov 26 Mumbai terrorist attacks.

Several jets were seen flying close to Lahore and Islamabad, alarming some residents, witnesses said. Pakistan had said earlier that two Indian jets violted its airspace in two parts of the country, but were chased back over the border. But New Delhi said there was no violation.

It can be recalled here that the nuclear-armed India and Pakistan have fought three wars over the last 60 years.
