Nepal Foreign Minister accuses Indian envoy of breaching diplomatic norms
Kathmandu, Dec 22 (ANI): Nepal Minister for Foreign Affairs Upendra Yadav today charged that the Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Rakesh Sood, has breached the diplomatic norms by meeting the former king without informing the Nepali foreign ministry.
Speaking at a press conference here, the minister claimed that Ambassador Sood met former King Gyanendra by breaching the tradition of informing the Foreign Minister before meeting.
Earlier Prime Minister Prachanda said Ambassador Sood told him about his recent meeting with the King Gyanendra.
The former King inquired from the Ambassador about his plan to travel to India to attend wedding of a relative.
The former King is also said to have told the Indian Ambassador that all his former followers have now become Maoists, Kantipur reported. (ANI)
