Powell calls on world to help Pak to fight war on terror
Lahore, Dec 15 (ANI): Former US Secretary of State Colin Powell has called on the international community to help Pakistan to fight the war on terror.
"Pakistan had its own political turmoil and the situation boiling over from Afghanistan into the Tribal Areas made it much more difficult for this new government to deal with the current situation," The Daily Times quoted Powell, as saying.
Besides helping Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and his team deal with Taliban, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba (LeT) and other terrorist organizations, the international community should also continue to give aid to Pakistan.
Powell further added that the Pakistan Government is relatively new and not yet completely 'secure in power'. (ANI)
