According to the police, about 30 to 40 rebels belonging to the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) Saturday, Dec 11 night raided Kari Moktama village of Chatra district, about 290 km from here.

The Maoist rebels asked Bhokta's family members, including his wife and brother, to vacate the house. Maoist rebels then used explosives to blast the house. No one was injured in the incident.

After blowing up the house, the Maoists left a pamphlet laying claim to the act. The rebels also took away food grains, a television and other household items from the former minister's house.
