Malay Tamil school allocated RM4m land
George Town (Malaysia), Dec.14 (ANI): The George Town Government has allocated a piece of land at Jalan Air Terjun here for the construction of a Tamil school.
According to the New Strait Times, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the state executive council had approved the 0.4ha land, costing RM4.85 million for the construction of SJK (T) Azad.
The Federal Government had previously approved an allocation of RM750, 000 for the construction of the school.
At present, the school has over 100 students. The new building, which is near the current one, will be able to accommodate more than 200 students. (ANI)
