New Delhi: 5 killed in hit-and-run case
New Delhi, Dec 12: A family of five members were killed in the national Capital when a speeding SUV apparently driven by a drunken driver hit their car. The incident took place on Thursday, Dec 11 night at a traffic signal near Kausalya Nagar in Trinagar of north-west Delhi.
Police sources said that all five occupants of the car were killed in the accident. Also they said that the person behind the wheel of the SUV was under the influence of alcohol. Those killed in the accident were Rakesh Kumar (48), his 45-year-old wife, their sons Rishan (11) and Mukul (20) and cousin Tanvi (18).
Rishan and Tanvi died on the spot, while others died in the hospital. "We have not arrested anyone but we have identified the culprits," the official said.
