More economic stimulus necessary: SBI chief

Kolkata, Dec 11: State Bank of India on Thursday, Dec 11 has expressed that Indian economy would require further economic stimulus apart from the rate cuts and extra spendings announced last week.

"There are still concerns the economy may require more," O P Bhatt told reporters at a banking conference.

Bhatt said bankers would discuss about the measures required to further boost the economy.

Last Saturday, the Reserve Bank its key short term lending and borrowing rates by 1 per cent point.
