Katrina Kaif tops in Google search

Bangalore, Dec 11: Who is No.1 now? Its none other than Singh is King girl Katrina Kaif. Gone are the days when India's beauty queen Aishwarya Rai or the Ek Do Teen girl Madhuri Dixit ruled the roost. Search engine giant Google, says Katrina is the most searched in google not only in India, but in neighbouring Pakistan also.

The other big finding is that India loves booking train tickets - online. This website was among the most searched for this year, with people preferring a click, to long lines at the station. Orkut is the most popular social networking site. A major concern of Indians 'how to reduce weight?' came next. Goa is named as favourite destination. The second India Zeitgeist report (globally the report is in its 9th year) offers a perspective on the year"s major events and hottest trends based on searches conducted by users in India.

Beijing Olympics and IPL made it to the fastest rising search term in 2008. Genelia D"souza of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na fame was 7th on the list. The most popular politician in India is none other Mahatma Gandhi. Sania Mirza tookover the top place from 'Master Blaster' Sachin Tendulkar and Indian skipper MS Dhoni.
