Gilani assures India about proper probe into Mumbai attacks
Multan, Dec.10 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has assured India that action would be taken against all those using Pakistan soil for terrorism, and added that he was ready to send Pakistan delegation to India for investigations.
Talking to reporters at Multan Airport, Gilani was quoted by The News as saying that "Pakistan was a responsible country and we didn't want to arrive at any conclusion without any investigations."
Investigations against defunct organizations are underway and Maulana Masood Azhar and others are also being probed, he said.
Replying to a question, he said that the Pakistan Army possesses highly professional expertise and Indian Air Force's high alert was not a matter of worry.
The prime minister said that the country was in safe hands and the nation need not worry. He said that the security of NATO truck stands was the responsibility of the security companies also.
NATO has other alternative routes, however the attacks on their supplies have dented the country's prestige.
As regards ISI former chief, Hameed Gul, he said that he was a Pakistani citizen and if any action were taken against him, it would be under Pakistan laws.(ANI)
