Car sales in India dips by 19.4 pc: Industry
Mumbai, Dec 10: Bleak economic prospects has left automobile sector in India crippled. Car sales in India fell an annual 19.4 percent to 83,059 in Nov, an industry body said on Wednesday, Dec 10, the fourth drop in five months as high borrowing costs, tight credit and a slowing economy weigh on demand.
Sales of trucks and buses fell to 20,637 units in Nov, down 49.5 percent from a year earlier, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers said in a statement.
