Pak cabinet's defence committee to discuss security in wake of tensions with India

Islamabad, Dec.8 (ANI): The Defence Committee of the Pakistan Cabinet, which has not met for close to a decade, will meet here on Monday to discuss security situation against the backdrop of Pakistan's tense relationship with India in wake of the Mumbai terror strikes.

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani will preside over the meeting, which will be attended by the defence minister, foreign minister, adviser to the prime minister on interior, the three services chiefs and chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, reports the Dawn.

The DCC was made functional after the prime minister disbanded the National Security Council (NSC) last week. (ANI)
