Backpacking Princess Eugenie stayed in œ13 a night Goa hut

Melbourne, December 8 (ANI): Princess Eugenie is said to have been experiencing a backpacker's life when she stayed in a hut in Goa costing 13 pounds per night as security guards continued watching out for her.

The sixth in line to the British throne, who has been spending her gap year with a friend, was reportedly living in the backpacker hut that had a beach view, a paper lantern, a mosquito net and plain rattan walls.

The two friends, who had reportedly checked into the Fernandes resort on Palolem beach in southern Goa on November 23 under fake names, had left the staff without any inkling of their VIP status, the Daily Mail reports.

"We did not think for a minute that she was a British Princess. She would lie outside on the sun-lounger for most of the day sunbathing," News.com.au quoted bartender Sanjay Naik as saying.

The younger daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York had been staying in Mumbai at the Taj hotel and had left one week before the terrorist attacks. (ANI)
