Kate Bosworth won't make her private life public

London, Dec 2 : American actress Kate Bosworth has vowed never to open up in public about her personal life, as she fears it will alienate her fans.

Bosworth, 25, who is dating British musician James Rousseau, rarely discusses personal issues with the press.

The Superman Returns star insists that she will not follow in the footsteps of other celebrities who openly discuss their personal and private problems in public.

"Some people talk about their personal lives a lot. I try not to, unless it's more of a generality. I don't want to broadcast my personal life because I feel it's off-putting," the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

"People are like, 'Oh, shut the f**k up. Cry me a river.' Who wants to hear the reality, really? You can't win," she added.
