Patil's resignation too little, too late: BJP
New Delhi, Nov 30 (UNI) The BJP today said Home Minister Shivraj Patil's resignation was ''too little, too late'', and demanded that the entire UPA Government take moral responsibility for the Mumbai attacks.
The attacks were a monumental failure of the entire UPA apparatus which proved that the Government's fight against terror was chaotic, BJP spokesman Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
''If the Government takes tough measures to fight terror, we will cooperate,'' Mr Prasad told a TV channel.
Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley said the Government had failed on the plank of internal security.
Pointing out that Mr Patil was pursuing the collective politics of the Government, he said: ''The Government should wear the cross across its neck for the terror attacks in Mumbai.'' ''The resignation was too little, too late,'' he said.
