Keylong coldest in Himachal, icy winds sweep tribal belts
Shimla, Nov 30 (UNI) Kelong, the Headquater of Lahaul and Spiti district, recorded coldest in the hill state, recording sub-zero temperature for last 24 hrs as icy winds swept across the tribal belts.
However, the night temperature in capital town of Shimla is rising and was about 11 degree above normal.The tourist resort of Manali also got some relief from chilly weather as the minimum temperature increased to 3.2 degrees against yesterday's 0.8 degrees.
The minimum temperature of Shimla rose to 14.6 degrees Celsius against yesterday's 13 degrees Celsius. Nahan recorded 12.7 degrees Cesius and at Dharamshala the temperature slightly came down and settled at 10.1 degrees against yesterday's 10.7 degrees celsius.
In the tribal belts, Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was cold at minus 2.5 degrees Celsius. In Kalpa, in the tribal district of Kinnaur the night temperature was at 2.5 degree celsius.
Bhuntar in Kullu district shivered at 2.0 degrees, Sundernagar at 3.3, Solan at 1.5, Una 3.5 degrees and Mandi 4.6 degrees.
Met office has forecast dry weather and clear weather conditions for next 24 hrs.
