Jamshedpur, Nov 30 (UNI) The National Metallurgical Laboratary here is organising the sixth International Conference on Mechanochemistry and Mechanical Alloying (INCOME 2008) from tomorrow.
Around 280 delegates from 25 countries, including 200 Indian delegates, will discuss application of mechanochemistry in various areas, new developments and industrial application.
Union Science and Technology secretary Dr T Ramasami will be the chief guest during the inaugral session of the conference being held in the country for the first time. 80 foreign delegates from 24 countries will also participate in the conference to be concluded on December 4.
An exihibition will also be organised during the conference, where state-of-the-art milling devices and characterisation equipment will be displayed. The first such conference was held in Koasice in Slovakia in 1992.
