BSP candidate held for violating poll code

Morena, Nov 30: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate from Sumawali constituency Ajab Singh Kushwah was arrested on Sunday, Nov 30 on the charge of violating Model Code of Conduct during repolling here, police said.

SP Santosh Kumar Singh said Mr Kushwah with his supporters arrived at Khugas booth on a jeep and started campaigning during repolling.

Mr Kushwah and his driver were arrested while the vehicle was seized.

Three people, who were armed with illegal weapons and roaming at booth, were also held and as many country-made weapons were also seized from them, he added.
