Balachander, Bhosle felicitated at IFFI
Panaji, Nov 30 (UNI) Veteran South Indian Filmmaker K Balachander and noted film editor from Goa Waman Bhosle were falicitated today at the ongoing International Film Festival of India 2008, which kickstarted here last week.
While South Indian actor Kamal Hassan presented a shawl, a scroll, and a cheque for Rs 51,000 to Balachander, Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat felicitated Bhosle.
A writer, director and producer, Balachander has more than 100 films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi to his credit. He also has the credit of discovering and introducing Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan, the two superstars, into films.
Waman Bhosle has edited about 600 films and has won many awards.
