Advani renewed BJP support to Govt's efforts to fight terrorism
Sikar, Nov 30 (UNI) BJP Prime Ministerial candidate L K Advani today reiterated his party support and solidarity to the UPA Government's efforts for fighting out menace of terrorism in the country, provided that the latter come forward with clear policy and strategy for the purpose.
Addressing election meetings in nearby towns of Neem-Ka-Thana (Sikar) and Khetri (Jhunjhunu) this afternoon, Mr Advani said, ''BJP would support the Government's efforts, but with the condition that it should come forth with clear cut policy and action plan.'' The menace had been presented its worst form before the nation and the situation was to be dealt with jointly by a resolute and united country.
However, the Opposition Leader has expressed his unhappiness over ''Congress leadership's utterances'' about the latter's ability to take-on terrorism.
''The Congress should realise the fact that they alone are not the champions. BJP also have equally strong will and capability to take on the task and we will prove our capability if voted to the power at the Centre after the next elections,'' he said.
He also took dig at the Congress for ''its vote bank oriented politics'' and said that this political current hampered the efforts for eradication of terrorism.
Mr Advani also cautioned that the country was not going to tolerate politics on issue of terrorism for long.
''The people now seeking an explaination from the politicians why the nation is unable to prove its capability to eradicate the menace,'' he added.
