K'taka: SWR announces train to Machilipatnam

Bangalore, Nov 29: South Western Railways on Saturday, Nov 29 announced introduction of a tri-weekly express train between Machilipatnam and Yesvantpur.

According to a press release here Machilipatnam-Yesvantpur express would leave Machilipatnam at 1515 hrs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and reach Yesvantpur at 0725 hrs the next day with effect from December One.

In the return direction, Yesvantpur-Machilipatnam express would leave Yesvantpur at 1445 hrs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and reach Machilipatnam at 0635 hrs the next day with effect from December Two.

SWR also announced running special trains between Nizamabad and Kollam to clear extra rush of passengers during Sabarimala season.

Nizamabad-Kollam Weekly special would leave Nizamabad at 1615 hrs on Fridays and arrive Kollam at 0005 hrs on Sundays, while in return direction, it would leave Kollam on Sundays at 0145 hrs and arrive Nizamabad at 1000 hrs the next day.

This service would begin from Nazamabad on December Five.
