Nine killed, eight injured in accident in Almora
Dehra Dun, Nov 29 (UNI) At least nine people were killed and eight seriously injured when the vehicle they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge near Panoli in Almora district of Uttarakhand.
The accident occurred around 1730 hrs yesterday when a jeep, heading towards Almora form Pithoragarh with 17 passengers, fell into the 300-metre gorge, a DMMC official said.
Nine passengers died on the spot and eight were rushed to a hospital in a serious condition, the official added.
