Life normal after undeclared curfew in Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 29 (UNI) Life today returned to normal after undeclared curfew restrictions yesterday in the Valley, where authorities had apprehension of anti-poll demonstrations after Friday prayers.
Shops and business establishments reopened in the major commercial and other areas in the city, besides major towns.
Transport was plying normally on all routes, sources said.
Work in government offices, educational institutions and banks was also as usual.
The Coordination Committee (CC), spearheading the anti-poll campaign in the Valley, had appealed to people to hold demonstration after the Friday prayers in their respective areas.
A report from Baramulla said life was normal today in the town where spontaneous strikes and undeclared curfew during the past eight days paralysed all business and other activities.
The town witnessed weeklong strikes and curfew after the death of two youths allegedly in security force firing on November 21.
