Haryana Govt. to implement revised pay scales from Jan 2006
Rohtak, Nov 29 (UNI) The Haryana Government will implement the revised pay scales of its employees, as per recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission, with effect from January 2006, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said today.
Talking to media persons here, he said that a committee had been formed under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to look into the matter and decide the revised pay scales according to the pay commission recommendations.
The State Government had already made a provision of Rs 1500 crore in the annual budget of the current financial year.
He said the committee had received about 225 suggestions from different departments regarding the revision of the pay scales. The committee gave personal hearing to all requests and suggestions to maintain transparency in the fixation of pay scales.
The Chief Minister assured that the new pay scales would be satisfactory and justifiable to each and every category of employees.
Mr Hooda said that employees were the back bone of the administration and his Government was their well-wisher.
He said that almost all employees who were retrenched by the previous Government had been taken back in various departments by the present Government. They had also been given relaxation to appear again in the departmental examinations.
The Chief Minister said that keeping in view the interest of the employees the Government had made the ex-gratia scheme for their dependents more effective . This scheme provides financial as well social security to the employees.
