Govt employee sentenced in bribery case
Patna, Nov 29 (UNI) The special vigilance judge S K Panwar awarded one year rigorous imprisonment to an accused Ramjee Singh of education department in connection with bribery case here today.
In addition to the RI, the judge also slapped a fine of Rs 1000 against the convict.
The designated judge found Mr Singh guilty under various sections of prevention of corruption act.
The convict was posted at the office of the regional deputy director education Patna as head clerk.
As per the charges the convit was caught red handed by the vigilance sleuths when he was accepting a bribe of Rs 300 from a teacher for sanctioning GPF loan on January 5,1996.
