TN: BHEL to hold three day SOJOM from Dec 11
Tiruchirapalli, Nov 29: The public sector Bharat Heavy Electricals Limitd (BHEL) here will be hosting a three-day international Symposium on Joining of Materials (SOJOM 2008) from Dec 11.
A BHEL press release said here on Saturday, Nov 29 SOJOM 2008, the sixth in the series of such symposia, was being jointly organised by the Welding Research Institute (WRI) of BHEL and the Indian Welding Society (IWS), Southern Zone.
During the symposium, to held in 22 sessions spread across the three days and in three different venues, about 98 technical papers from Indian and overseas organisations will be presented.
Metrode of UK, The Lincoln Electric Company Pte Ltd of USA, Tocalo of Japan and Kemppy OY of Finland would be some of the overseas participants.
Theme lectures would be delivered by experts covering contemporary interests like Structural Fabrication, Pressure Vessels, Tanks and High Temperature Power Plant Applications.
About 800 delegates were expected to participate in the international event.
They will have an opportunity to get first-hand information on the latest trends in welding equipment and accessories that would be displayed at SOJOM 2008 exhibition.
