UP police pays tributes to deceased Mumbai police personnel
Lucknow, Nov 28 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh police today paid tributes to 14 police personnel, including Mumbai Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare and Deputy Inspector General of Police Ashok Kamte, who met a fatal end while fighting with terrorists in the business city.
In a poignant ceremony organised at UP Director General of Police (DGP) headquarters, the state policemen laid a wreath in remembrance of the police personnel who fell victim to the Mumbai terror strike.
The policemen extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families and also prayed peace for the departed souls.
