Putin condemns terrorist attacks in Mumbai
Moscow, Nov 28 (UNI) Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has strongly condemned the deadly terrorist attacks in Mumbai, the government press service reported today.
''Barbaric crimes committed in Mumbai became a real shock for all of us and once again reminded us of the necessity of rebuffing any attacks of terrorism most resolutely and without a compromise,'' Mr Putin said in a message of condolence to the families of those killed in a series of terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
''Actions of Indian secret services and police in such a complex situation are absolutely justified and lawful,'' he said.
''It is important to build up coordinated efforts of the international community in combating extremism and terrorism,'' Mr Putin noted.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, in a message of condolence yesterday to President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, expressed shock at the deaths of civilians in the terrorist attacks, saying the terrorists must receive most severe punishment.
