Monorail launch project postponed: MMRDA

Mumbai, Nov 28 (UNI) The launch of India's first monorail project, scheduled to be held in the city tomorrow, has been postponed following the siege laid by terrorists since Wednesday night, MMRDA sources today said.

The event, organised by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority, was to be held in the easter suburb of Chembur and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was supposed to launch the project, MMRDA release said.

The monorail will connect Chembur Station to Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk at Wadala.
