Heavy rains likey in coastal AP, Karnataka

Pune, Nov 28 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and coastal and south interior Karnataka.

Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep and at a few places in north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and at isolated places in Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.

Mainly dry weather is likely to prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Gujarat.

The northeast monsoon was vigorous in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and few places in Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in south interior Karnataka, few places in Telangana and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather prevailed in Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal and north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Night temperature was below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Punjab, Konkan, Goa and north Madhya Maharashtra. It was appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Saursashtra, Kutch, south Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Rayalseema coastal Karnataka and above normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, remaining parts of east Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. It was normal in rest of the country.
