Dubai sex beach couple enduring 'frustrating' difficulties, says lawyer

London, November 28 : The British couple convicted of romping on a Jumeirah Beach in Dubai are facing difficulties getting home, as they have not received their passports from the concerned authorities. Michelle Palmer, 36, and Vince Acors, 34, who wanted to fly back to the UK over the next 24 hours after their jail terms were suspended.

Acors' lawyer Andrew Crossley says that the couple now face the threat of "a day or so" in jail while deportation laws are clarified.

"They are encountering very frustrating difficulties. This is something we are obviously fighting," British tabloid The Sun quoted Crossley, of London-based ACS Law, as saying.

He even revealed that Acors was in talks with a national newspaper regarding selling his story.

The couple had their three-month prison terms suspended on appeal on Tuesday. They were told they would be deported, and ordered to pay a fine of about 170 pounds.
