Congress hits Modi for politicising Mumbai terror attacks
Ahmedabad, Nov 28 (UNI) Gujarat Congress today lambasted Chief Minister Narendra Modi for ''politicising'' the terror attacks in Mumbai.
Speaking to mediapersons, party spokesperson Arjun Modhavadia said, ''The Chief Minister was unaware of the misuse of his state's coast and had gone to Mumbai to take political mileage out of the terror attacks.'' He wondered why Mr Modi had maintained silence when terror struck Gujarat in Akshardham, Ahmedabad, Surat and Modasa.
Mr Modhavadia said, ''The Chief Minister has announced Rs 1 crore compensation for the families of those security personnel killed in the fight with militants in Mumbai, while the National Security Guards (NSG) commandos, who were injured during the Akshardham operation, have not yet received any assistance.'' Expressing concern over the reports that the terrorists used Gujarat coast to reach Mumbai, he said that the Gujarat had failed to keep enough security at the coastline.
