Yechury condoles death of V P Singh
New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) CPI politbureau member and Rajya Sabha MP Sitaram Yechury today condoled the death of former Prime Minister V P Singh, hailing him as a great visionary, a champion of the down trodden and a crusader for the cause of social justice.
While recalling his long association with the late Prime Minister, Mr Yechury said in his death the nation has lost a visionary.
''Besides serving the country in various capacities, including the Prime Ministership, his contribution to the cause of the suppressed classes and socialism will always be remembered'' Mr Yechury said.
The veteran Left leader conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to his wife, Ms Sita Devi and sons, Ajeya Singh and Abhay Singh.
