Vietnam extends invitation to Sonia Gandhi

Hanoi, Nov 27 (UNI) Vietnam has extended an invitation to Congress president and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi for a state visit.

It was conveyed to President Pratibha Devisingh Patil by the Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet himself during talks between the two state-heads here today, official sources confirmed.

Both India and Vietnam, while exploring ways to expand paternship in trade and investment, have decided to increase exchanges between leaders of both the countries and enhance people to people contact.
