Metro to run service from 0400 hrs on Election Day

New Delhi, Nov 26 (UNI) Acting on a request from the Delhi Chief Electoral Office, the Delhi Metro will start its services from 0400 hrs instead of 0600 hrs on Saturday, the day of Assembly elections in Delhi.

The trains will run with a frequency of 15 minutes on all the three lines till 0600 hrs after which trains will run with their normal frequency throughout the day, said a Metro spokesman.

The CEO had put in this request so that people who have been assigned election duties can reach their respective polling booths before 0800 hrs when the polling gets underway .
