Kerala wins silver medal at the IITF
New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) Kerala has won silver medal for its pavilion at the 28th India International Trade Fair (IITF), which concluded here today.
State Information and Public Relations Secretary Sheela Thomas received the medal from Union Minister of State for Commerce and Power Jairam Ramesh at a function at the Pragati Maidan.
Kerala has won gold medial in the last two consecutive years.
In the 28 years of IITF history, Kerala has got gold medals 12 times and silver medals six times, including this year.
Official sources said as many as 1.2 million people visited the Kerala pavilion during the 14 days of the fair.
There was trade inquiries to the tune of Rs 10 crores, sources said.
