Istanbul, Dublin in run for 10th IIFA Awards

Mumbai, Nov 27 (UNI) Istanbul and Dublin are close in the race to hold the tenth International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards.

According to Wizcraft Entertainment sources, the IIFA Awards, which had been touring the world, had received tremendous response in its nine editions so far and the tenth celebrations, slated for June 2009, has attracted several countries. Though Istanbul and Dublin are among the front runners, no decision has been taken, Wizcraft Entertainment sources told UNI.

The tenth celebrations will prove in time to be grander and better than ever before, considering the hype delegations from many countries have put in their bid to host Indian Cinema's most majestic night out.

A high-level Turkish delegation headed by their Prime Minister was in the city recently vying to hold the Awards&Weekend in their country. Considered to be Europe's Cultural Hub for 2010, Istanbul has approached the IIFA management as has Ireland.
