India post launches 'World Net Express'
Chandigarh, Nov 27 (UNI) India Post in partnership with Deutche Post has launched an express service 'World Net Express' to deliver mails and parcels to over 200 countries.
Launching the service at Chandigarh, Chief Postmaster General (Punjab and Chandigarh) P R Kumar, told mediapersons that under this service, India Post would handle the booking of articles and hand over these to the specified DHL locations. The transmission and delivery would be handled by the DHL. Initially only documents and parcels would be accepted for booking.
The service is being launched throughout the country from 232 post offices located at state capitals. In Chandigarh, the service will be available in six post offices namely Sector 14, Sector 19, Sector 22, Sector 47 and Sector 55, Mohali and Speed Post Centre, Sector 17.
