Gun shots and explosions resume at Taj Mahal hotel
Mumbai, Nov 27: Firing resummed at the Taj Mahal Hotel in the early hours of the day with terrorists resumming gunshots and bursting grenades.
Unconfirmed reports say the armed forces have gunned down two terrorists at the hotel while one commando was injured in the exchange of fire and rushed to a local hospital, a UNI reporter at the spot said.
More than 80 people, including three top police officials of Maharashtra were gunned down by the terrorists in nearly eight places, mostly located in south Mumbai, including the five star hotels of Taj Mahal and Hotel Trident and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
While one portion of the century old Taj Mahal hotel building facing the Gateway of India is engulfed in fire, personnel of the fire brigade were resucing people stranded at the hotel.
People were also seen waving handkerchief seeking police help to come out of the building as the top floor was engulfed in fire.
