Governor condemns terrorist attacks in Mumbai
Mumbai, Nov 27: Maharashtra Governor S C Jamir has strongly condemned the terrorists attacks which occurred in the city on Wednesday, Nov 26, describing it as the most cowardly act targeting innocent civilians and gallant police officers and personnel.
''This is the worst-ever attack on the city of Mumbai which is the financial capital of India. Mumbai has a cosmopolitan character and is one of the most peaceful cities in the country.
The terrorists have attacked and targeted innocent civilians and gallant police officers and personnel of Mumbai in a most cowardly manner'', he said in a statement here on Thursday, Nov 27.
''My heart goes out for the innocent people and the brave police officers who became martyrs while discharging their duty'', he said conveying his heartfelt sympathies for those who had to sacrifice their life and those who were injured.
''I express the strong resolve of the Government of Maharashtra that the terrorists will be brought to justice at the earliest'', he added.
