Dozen vehicles of candidates seized in Jammu
Jammu, Nov 27 (UNI) A dozen vehicles of contesting candidates from various political parties have been seized on the directions of the administrative and the police authorities, for not following the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI) and violating Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, the sources said here today.
''A number of banners and placards, posted on different vehicles in violation of the code of conduct, have been removed in three Assembly segments of the district,'' official sources said.
Three segments of Reasi district-Reasi, Gool-Arnas and Gulabgarh -- will go to polls in the fourth phase of the Assembly elections on December 7.
