Centre monitoring Mumbai terror attacks
New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) The Centre is monitoring the situation arising out of the terror attacks in Mumbai which have claimed 76 lives.
An emergency meeting of the Union Cabinet has been called to discuss the situation in Mumbai, where counter-terror operations are going on in 10 places.
Home Minister Shivraj Patil, along with NSG director J K Dutt, has gone to Mumbai to assess the situation where NSG, Army and Navy commandoes are involved in bringing the situation under control.
Senior officials of the Home Ministry held meetings throughout the night to monitor the situation.
An organisation called Deccan Mujahideen, in an e-mail sent to a TV channel, has claimed responsibility for the terror attacks.
The situation is being monitored on a constant basis by the Centre.
