BJP offers support, solidarity to UPA Govt on terrorism
Jaipur, Nov 27 (UNI) Sending a strong message of national unity against terrorism, the BJP today expressed its solidarity and support to the UPA Government's scheme and efforts for effectively fighting against the menace of terrorism.
Talking to reporters here, party president Rajnath Singh strongly condemned the Mumbai attacks of last night and extended his party's support to the UPA Government's efforts.
Mr Singh said, ''Last night's events in Mumbai are virtually a war against our nation and we all require to fight out terrorists and disruptive forces unitedly.'' The BJP felt that the Government should come up with a comprehensive and integrated action plan for fighting out these anti-national elements and forces, he added.
The party wanted to express its solidarity with the Government for the cause and it would support the Government's scheme and strategy for the purpose, Mr Singh said.
However, the Saffron party leader reiterated his party's demand of re-introduction of POTA and held that stringent law was surely the need of the hour.
