Bharti Teletech secures Rs 35 cr order from BSNL
New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) Bharti Teletech, one of the country's leading manufacturers and distributors of telecom and allied products, today said it has bagged a Rs 35 crore contract from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) to manufacture fixed line phones.
Under the contract, Bharti Teletech will manufacture and supply over nine lakh CLIP phones for BSNL over a period of five months, thus further strengthening Bharti Teletech's association with BSNL.
The phones will be manufactured at the company's manufacturing facility in Ludhiana, where it has recently invested over Rs five crore to augment capacity.
Post-investment, the Ludhiana unit has an annual production capacity of five million phones.
Bharti Teletech is currently one of the largest manufacturers of telephone instruments in the world supplying Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) to more than 30 international telecom companies.
''...This contract not only highlights the high quality of products offered by Beetel but also serves to further our association with BSNL,'' Bharti Teletech CEO Sunil K Goyal said in a statement.
He said the association will be mutually beneficial for both the companies.
