Vice-President to arrive in Nagaland on Nov 30

Kohima, Nov 26 (UNI) Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari will pay a three-day visit to Nagaland from November 30 and inaugurate the famous Hornbill Festival on December one.

Official sources said Mr Ansari and his entourage would arrive at Dimapur at 1500 hours by an Indian Air Force Special Aircraft, from where he will come to Kohima by helicopter at the Assam Rifles helipad.

He will be received by Nagaland Governor K Sankaranarayanan, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and his cabinet colleagues and will be offer a Guard of Honour at the helipad. He will then straight drive to the Raj Bhavan and after spending the night there he will go to Kisama Heritage Village, the venue of the Hornbill Festival on December one.

He would then inaugurate the World War II Museum at Kisama Complex and after that the Hornbill Festival at 1015 hours. Later, he would visit Kigwema village, near Kisama, to witness the Village Development Board (VDB) and Communitised Institutions for public services.

On December two, he would visit the Commonwealth War Cemetry here at 0900 hours and offer floral tribute. He would emplane for New Delhi from Dimapur.
