Punnoose would be new DGP : Achuthanandan
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 26 (UNI) Vigilance ADGP Jacob Punnoose would be the new Director General of Police in Kerala, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said today.
Briefing weekly Cabinet decisions to newspersons here, he said the Cabinet had given its approval to post Mr Punnoose as the new DGP of the state in the wake of DGP Raman Srivastava being deputed to the post of Central Intelligence Department.
He would be given the charge of Law and Order in the state.
Mr Punnoose, an IPS officer in the 1975 batch, would be given the charge of Law and Order in the state, he said.
