Power generation is not on schedule :Somaiya
Mumbai, Nov 26 (UNI) Expressing concern over the tardy progress in the power sector, former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya today said not a single power company has submitted its project report till date.
Talking to mediapersons, Mr Somaiya said ''If the project work starts in 2009, the power generation is likely to start after 2015.
Most of the power plants are at the same stage as they were in March 2005.'' Ridiculing the claim of Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh about power, he said the Power Ministry had announced eight new major power projects to generate 11,000 MW power.
