Journalists arrested for writing inflammatory article

Badwani, MP, Nov 26 (UNI) A local weekly newspaper's editor and its city representative were today arrested on the charge of publishing an inflammatory article and spreading communal hatred in this district, police said.

Editor Faizuddin Hashmi and city representative Zuhur Khan Buga had been arrested for allegedly printing the inflammatory article in the newspaper on November 24.

Madhya Pradesh BJP Minorities Front President Hidayatullah Sheikh had informed about the matter to the state Electoral Officer and police.

Police said Zuhur Khan is also a Congress spokesperson. District Returning Officer H S Mana said steps were being taken to cancel registration of the weekly.
